This 15th century church is built on the remains of a 13th century church. It became famous as a burial place for aristocrats, as noted by the many noble chapels and naves. The 17th century presbytery is in Baroque style, while the 19th facade is neo-Gothic. The highlights are the lunette of the Madonna above the portal, the bas reliefs on the facade, and another terracotta lunette of Madonna and Child. See the nineteenth-century rose window. Inside, the highlights are neo-Gothic baptismal font, the chapel of the Carmine, and the exquisite neoclassical main altar by Giovanni Arise.
