The last supper is so inspiring. Very lucky to have had the privilege of seeing this amazing picture. Thank you so much the people of Milano for sharing your treasure with us.
The Last Supper by Leonardo is a must in Milan. Make sure you have a guide to understand the full meaning behind the fresco as there is a lot of subtext. We were lucky enough to view some pre-fresco sketches on display to understand the thinking behind the genius.
Not able to get inside to see it. Sadden because came to Milan with hopes of getting a tour. Outside was restful and building beautiful with ornamentation everywhere gorgeous
Definitely a must! If you come to Milan you should visit Santa Maria. Besides Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II is in the same Piazza, which as well is beautiful. During my visit the line for entering the church was shorter at 3:00 pm, the line for going up was fast and the view is worth it and it is amazing to imagine how it was built.
Good place to visit. Early morning booking (ours was 8.45) was nice and quiet, no crowds and pleasant place to wait in the square in front of the church. Lockers are available in ticket office. Nice to walk around the church (open after 9) and small courtyard behind but shoulders and knees must be covered, they had disposable kimonos for €1.
