Opened in 1870, and named after Alessandro Manzoni after the writer's death in 1873, the historic theatre was completely destroyed in the WWII bombings. It was reopened in 1950, and has since become a terrific performance venue. It is an intimate and cozy space, and while there are a variety of shows, cabarets dominate the box office. Try and get balcony seats for the best time. There is a cloakroom in the foyer. Check out the cafe and bistro.
