Located next to the Basilica of Sant'ambrogio, this university is in a rather quiet corner of the city center. It's said to be the largest Catholic University in the world, with over 40,000 students. It has clean and well kept grounds. The elegant cloisters of the Doric and Ionic order have unusually high arches. The courtyard is a nice spot to sit and watch the students go by. Other main features are the entrance facade by Giovanni Muzio, Chapel of Sacred Heart, the zodiac atrium and the Great Hall (Aula Magna). Technically entrance is allowed only to the students studying there, but ask at the entrance anyway; you may get lucky. The area around the university has excellent cafes.

Probably one of the best universities in Italy if not the best. With over 40000 students a year it is also one of the biggest universities in Italy. I love the diversity in the university, there are students from every corner of the world. I'm sure that it's not only but every student here specially international students have had the time of their life.
Very good university
Such a beautiful university building with a history. Facilities inside could be more modern though.
