Fallingwater Reviews & Ratings
I'm a general contractor so I have a professional perspective of the genius behind this creation. It's being envisioned and built in the late 30s is stunning. This is a project that was far ahead of it's time. Between the integration into the natural environment, the cantilever design, special effects of compression and release, there's a lot to see and experience. The fact that the owners were socially involved makes this even better. Well worth the visit.
A unique home designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. Structure as well as furniture and interior was a museum. Many pictures by famous artists. The home's surrounding and tranquil. Lots of moderate walking. Shuttle available to & from home.
It was such a great experience to visit one of Wright's architectural masterpieces, which is in incredibly great shape and run excellently. The house is beautiful and the whole experience is simply amazing; great architecture nestled in nature; rich in history and art. Tours are timed and very organized; better to make reservations ahead of time. No children under 6 allowed inside the house tour. No pictures allowed during the tour either! This is a must see!
Absolutely stunning! Pictures do not do this home justice! The tour was amazing and our guide was very knowledgeable. The architecture of this building is simply incredible! One of Frank Lloyd Wright's best masterpieces!
Warren was an excellent docent and he gave a wonderful tour. The house is gorgeous inside and out and, of course, so nature inspired by FLW. Loved browsing through the gift shop also - very large with unique items. There is also a cafe and art gallery by the beautiful information center. Lots of walking to the house and back to the parking area. Dress for comfort according to the weather and definitely wear walking shoes. FYI: There are many, many stairs involved in this tour, so take that into consideration. Photography is not allowed inside the house.
