This campsite is really nice! there is a big clean pool. they have a place to do your laundry. They have a little petting zoo. the camp store makes delicious breakfast. the one complaint I have is the bathrooms. In the women's bathroom two out of three toilets kept getting clogged. they cleaned the women's bathroom good! But the men's room was not cleaned very well.
When I was a child my mom used to take me and my brother here constantly. The place is well kept and have the nicest people running it. The animals are well taken care of and the cabins and pool are clean. It's not too expensive either.
Keep on driving. . . . . This place is a dump! This place is full of seasonal sites and is not for people traveling looking for a few nights stay. We traveled from PA to spend the weekend camping with my daughter and her family. This campground is overgrown with trees, brush and weeds. While traveling to our sites I hit 2 low hanging trees with my 5th wheel and the site for my daughter was full of trash as was the seasonal sites around where we were to spend the weekend. The sewer pipes had no caps on them, the 30 amp electrical sockets were loose in the box and my son in law could not even get his unit into their site because of a tree in the middle of the site entrance. The only good thing about the experience was that we were given a full refund. I had a seasonal site in a campground on the Chesapeake in MD that I considered a very low end campground. After arriving at Holly Lake I now realize that the seasonal site I had was a 4 star resort.
The campground has improved over the past few years. Some staff can be ignorant, but most are nice. The thing that makes me angry is they charge for WI-FI. Any place you go its free,it's a perk to get you there. Now days everyone likes that little luxury from home. This would be one reason I would only stay for a day, I'm not paying for something i can get free at another campground, just trying to squeeze you for an extra dime.
We're seasonal renters on our 3rd season now with our own spot after visiting a friend for three years prior to that. We love it here and wouldn't want to be anywhere else :)
