Brenner Brewing Co. Reviews & Ratings
The beer here is amazing! I've always had a great experience here. The bartenders are attentive and the tour is hilarious. Mike Brenner is a talented brewmaster, who not only is honest and funny, but supports the arts by featuring local artists on his beer labels. I'll be be back for sure!!
Went on the tour and had a fantastic experience. The owner Mike Brenner gave the tour personally. He is incredibly talented and friendly. His beers are very very good. Would highly recommend seeing what he has created, experiencing his beers, and looking for it in stores and bars. Great Job Mike. Looking forward to your future success and new creations!!
Been to plenty of craft breweries in and around the city center, I'd categorize Brenner's as average. That's not a bad thing but nothing really sticks out here as memorable. The beer was average with a small selection of drafts on tap and the space lacked that unique draw or style. They do have a garage door that opens up during nice weather days and that's a plus (but many of the other places have that option as well) , they also had some really cool 80's tunes playing as well. The server was very nice and friendly, talkative and helpful with the beer selection. The bar top seats around 12 with some really uncomfortable stools which makes chilling and enjoying your beer a bit tedious and not so pleasant. I'd come back again but there are other places that would draw me.
One of the only certified Master Brewers in Wisconsin! The label art is all done by local artists and beer sales help fund local art and artists. The signage is beautifully designed and executed. Whomever hand paints the painted signs is a masterful, painterly painter.
I was going to try this place out since I'm a lover of craft beer and I always support local businesses. However, I can't support a business with such childish owners. It's a shame that you're turning business away before people have even set foot in your establishment. A true business man or woman takes criticism graciously and learns from it. He certainly does not shoot back with a your mom joke. I can overlook a bad review (the best restaurants in the world get some bad reviews) but I can't overlook an owner heckling patrons. Grow up. *Update* check out my yelp review too! I go a little more in depth. :)
