Henry Maier Festival Park Reviews & Ratings

  • Absolutely loved attending the Black Arts Festival. The mood was right to come out and enjoy the company of others in your community. The vendors had a wide range of clothing and accessories and reasonable prices. I loved the musical guest SWV and I will be attending this event again. I would love to have had more days of this event. I will return.

  • Great place to take in the sites, hear some great musicians, and experience Milwaukee's rich culture. Make sure you wear your walking shoes as there are numerous things to see and do. Enjoy!

  • I enjoyed seeing everyone dressed up in their costumes. The spanferkel dinner was very good. Nice large portions of pork. I couldn't finish it! It would be helpful if there were more picnic tables next to the lake.

  • We attended a concert here outside of the Summerfest window. It was easy to park, easy to find, easy to get in, and the show was great! It loses a star because of a few minor things: There weren't enough food vendors to get everyone fed before the weekday evening show. Long lines dampened the mood. Separate beer stations helped, but even these were backed up before the concert and during breaks. The aluminum bench seats had the seat number engraved on them. This was nearly impossible to read in the best of light. Add dusk settling in and everyone needed a light to see where to sit. I'm not sure how I feel regarding the card-only payment policy. Cash is legal tender and should be accepted, although I can see - from a vendor standpoint - where handling everything electronically is easier administratively. Many more positives than negatives will make me jump at the opportunity to attend another event.

  • Great venue for all the city festivals. Awesome music for Summerfest! Ethnic festivals have good music, great food and cultural learning, dances and fun A great place on a great lake!
