The Lake Park of Milwaukee is a series of land which stretches across the Bradford Beach, McKinley Marina and the Milwaukee Art Museum. The Lake Park covers an area of 138.1-acre and was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted (who also designed the central park in New York!) in 19th century.

The park follows the Romantic school of landscaping- keeping in mind the blend of natural pathways, wildlife and activities for people. Today the park is one of the few places where you can trek, hike, run, job, attend fitness and meditation classes and take part in the workshops held here.

  • The courts are alright but there are cracks all over. The nets have holes and it is difficult to tell at times if the ball clipped the cord and went over or through the net. They're are five courts but are sometimes reserved for club players and tennis lessons which can take up 4 of the 5 courts. The lights are on until 10. Beautiful park overlooking Lake Michigan.

  • Very well kept lighthouse. A great part of Milwaukee history. The museum inside helps with the upkeep. If you like historical sites, this will not let you down. You can climb the tower to the top of the lighthouse for an amazing view.

  • I love lake park! My friends and I went for a BBQ picnic. It was just perfect. You can find a lot of picnic benches across the park. Trees and shades were just perfect. Very clean and well maintained. Ample parking space as well.

  • Beautiful park!!! must visit in the area, well maintained hiking trails, amazing views of the lake Michigan, super friendly people around. Fantastic park, only downside sometimes is the erratic drivers around. Great place and hope it's maintained that way!!!

  • Very informative. The tour was set up nice. The guide was very informative and very friendly. Nice area to walk around and see flower gardens and walking trails.
