Tsurutontan, Minato Reviews

  • Really nice authentic Udon place with a great variety of Udon noodles. Prices are a little over average, bit the quality is really good. Service is really friendly as well. In the back this establishment offers private tables for groups from 4 to around 8 people.

  • The Udon Pon (pork dumplings with Udon pastry skins) are fantastic served in broth. Can’t wait to go back and try more!

  • Delicious udon soups. The portions are huge but they don't compromise on quality. I tried the cream scallop one and was extremely happy. The place is busy during the evenings so expect some queuing (up to 30 min on a weekday).

  • Huge portions, double your portions free of cost. Apart from it being huge portions, they also have healthy cool options for summer. The Sashimi tempuradon option is quite light and doesn't really settle in as too much food. Although I am absolutely in love with the curry-udon options. That tempura which dips into the curry but still retains the crispiness, you are not gonna get it anywhere else.

  • Visiting from the states, and this place is great. It’s open late, the food is tasty, significant portion size, and they’ll gladly add more noodles if you ask when ordering. The beef udon was good, pork with vegetables even better, and the duck appetizer was among the best I’ve had. Ate here two nights in a row, obviously.
