Every summer, Lake Harriet hosts a number of concerts in its beautiful castle shaped Bandshell. This bandshell stood on the edge of the lake campus till 1891 before it was destroyed completely in a pathetic fire tragedy. The next bandshell came up and was called the ‘pagoda pavilion’ but this also unfortunately got burnt down in a fire tragedy. The next one again got destroyed in a windstorrm in 1925 and the 4th one remained till 1985. After this the blue one was erected that we see till now. The path covered with the red leaves from the trees here make it look like a picture of loneliness but the peace and serenity you can get here is simply unmatched.
