The Lake Harriet Rose Garden, popularly known as Lyndale Park Rose Garden is a paradise on earth where you will feel like being transferred to a world of roses of all colours and size. With a mission to show that Minnesota too can grow roses, Lake Harriet Rose Garden was built and designed by Theodore Wirth. The park is the second oldest public rose plantation. From mid-June until early October, the rose garden with its 62 central beds blooms in full grandeur, thereby, emanating a mind-boggling smell that you will cherish for long. With the decrease in temperature, the vibrancy of the petals increases significantly and during September to October, you will find a great number of flower lovers gathering here to watch the roses in awe.

Lake Harriet Rose Garden Reviews & Ratings
We came here to take engagement photos and it worked out perfectly! Plenty of backgrounds, benches and archways for good photo ops and obviously lots of greenery and flowers! Parking is free, entry is open to the public. Beautiful spot for beautiful moments.
Beautifully designed and maintained rose garden with iconic fountains great for picture taking or tossing a coin for a wish. Located just off the Lake Harriet foot path, the roses are spectacular. Stop and smell them.
A beautiful garden with a great history. A lovely spot to meander, meditate, peruse the rose varieties, or just sit and enjoy. Bring your camera, cup of coffee, or just a bit of time out of your day; this garden offers that moment of calm in the midst of noise.
If you like me like roses and flowers, this place is definitely for you! Minnesota summer time. Butterflies! Elegant rose aroma!!! Few fountains, benches. Peaceful and quiet place! Definitely recommended to visit when weather permits. 😊
One of the best hidden gems in the city. Always love going here. Parking is easy and they do a great job on flowers, especially during spring.
