Quang Restaurant, Minneapolis Reviews - Write a Review
The rice platters here are out of the world. Seriously, a fish sauce that’s light but still delivers, fresh assortment of delicious meats, the broken rice tastes actually like rice, and a portion that’s challenges you to eat anything else. Phenomenal in that regard that you can’t beat at any other restaurant. And I’ve tried plenty from here to San Francisco. As far as their other plates go I’d say they are in the “good” range, enough to not be bad but not close to the best. Their pho and spring rolls are not the best in the business. That being said, still an amazing place with pretty fast service.
This place is always full but it's worth the wait. Don't worry, the line goes quick. Some of the best Pho you can't get anywhere else. Check out all the awards displayed when you walk in. You won't be disappointed
Imagine what a boxed, frozen, Vietnamese meal would look and taste like from Traders Joe's. If you would be happy with that, you will enjoy Quang. Make sure you pray there is no fire while you are eating because this restaurant will be packed like a sardine can with people. Our meals were served in non-commercial Corelle® bowls. All of that being said, the food was good and the price was reasonable.
I love the spicy beef pork hock dish here! I swap out the rice noodles for egg noodles and it becomes an awesome dish. While "pork hock" sounds odd, when people see it they immediately ask for a taste and wish they got it instead of their plain old pho! (The rice dishes are good here too!)
Didn't really enjoy the experience here. Had a straw mishap, a rather long wait for service and we were treated like it didn't matter if we came again or not. As far as the food, it was okay but not the best Pho or curry. It wasn't bad but the bowls were rather small and everything seemed fast paced and more about the business then about our experience while there. The cup in the photo put the nail in the coffin for me though. I don't want buts of the plastic from the cover of this container entering my body. Nor do I want the glue that holds it inside. I asked for coffee and was served ice coffee? When my girlfriend spilled her mango bubble tea because she used the wrong straw to open her drink? We weren't given instructions it was just dropped at our table after our order. I assumed you peeled it off and my girlfriend tried to pierce the top. It went everywhere but this didn't matter so much as no one noticed or asked what they can do to help even as I went into the kitchen area and asked for napkins, not one? Very confused by the assumption that they don't need to worry about us at all. It's not like this was a Golden Corral. Maybe I'm wrong in the assumption that they SHOULD care, although I'd think that's the mentality they want to adopt.
