Cova D'en Xoroi - Review
One of Minorca’s most popular nightclub, and most picturesque too, the Cova d’en Xoroi is situated in a cave along cliffs overlooking the sea. Sip a cool drink ordered from the menu while enjoying a glorious sunset or party all night with your friends to the beats of music.
The caves have an interesting story behind them. The story is based on the life of a man called Xoroi. He was possibly a shipwreck survivor who found shelter in a natural cave situated in the rock face of the Cala en Porter cliff. Making the cave his home, he survived by stealing food from the surrounding farmlands. On one of these trips, he fell in love with a local girl and it is still unclear whether he abducted her or took her with him with her consent. Years later, while searching for the missing girl, the searching locals found the cave hideaway. Within the cave was the girl, Xoroi and their three children! Cornered by the locals, Xoroi and his eldest son jumped into the sea (nobody knows whether they survived). The girl and the remaining two children were taken back to the town where, it is said that there are still descendants of Xoroi living today.
Though it is not sure if the story is authentic or not, but what can be guaranteed is the enormous amount of fun and relaxation you can have at the Cova d’en Xoroi.

Cova D'en Xoroi, Minorca Reviews
An amazing location, design. The club is located inside a wall of cave, with an astonishing view. Tickets were 25 euros each, included a drink. A bit strange dress-code (I wasn't allowed to go inside wearing my cap), however, staff members were very kind. We visited it on Friday night, the visitors were mostly students... I mean... if you want a really good party, go to Ibiza or Berlin. But if you stuck in Menorca and looking for a night club, this might be the best you can find on the island! ;-)
A long way down only had half an hour before the coach picked us up a free drink was included rush to get down and up again. However beautiful views of the coast line but caves too adapted for the nightclub for our liking. We like lots of others took a great photo, then realised that it was an ashtray! 😂
Great views worth a visit even it’s just for one drink! This place has STUNNING views and a great vibe. We came in the day before sunset - but I can imagine it’s great during sunset and in the evening when there is the DJ and party. Worth a trip.
Tourist destination for coaches in the daytime, nightclub at night and into the early hours. The true story of xoroi is not well told and there is very little inside which relates to him other than a little wooden plaque. nice views from man-made balcony over the cliffs and sea. Clean tidy not too expensive and WC facilities. Lots and lots and lots of steps!!!
Upon arrival you can tell it’s a dance club. Before the establishment opens there are people in the parking lot eager to get in. The clocks strikes 11:30 and the front door is open to the public. Kids between 2-15 pay 6 euros, adults pay 10 euros, under 2 is free. The cost of admissions gives you a drink ticket. You can pay with credit cards but not Amex. Once you get inside, you can tell immediately that it’s worth the money. The views are stunning. The patios fill up very quickly. Once you get inside get your drink and score a table or you will be stuck sitting inside the cave which isn’t so glamorous. The cave has a few rooms to explore. It does have a hit of bar smell. I will have to say that our bar staff weren’t very friendly. They seem to have a great time amongst each other but not really that interested in serving guest. It could have been that I had a 8 year old and 21 month old in tow. So I’m not the target for nice conversation. :-)
