The Tower of Fornells is situated on the northern coast of Minorca. It is one of the largest defence towers on the island and was built between 1801 and 1802, during the English occupation. It was built as a defence mechanism to protect entry into the port of Fornells. The tower has a truncated cone shape and is made of stone, mortar and sand stone. One can reach the tower on foot from the village of Fornells.
