The Museum of Carriages stands in the location of the erstwhile Bernardine Monastery. This is a collection devoted entirely to the history of transportation in Belarus. All the carriages on display here are categorised into three types; the 4-seated convertible carriage, carts and chaises, or sleds and sleighs. Most of these vehicles date back to the provincial age. You will also see various horse harnesses on display too. The museum has a very creative way of engaging the audiences. Inside the museum’s self-service terminal is a game called ‘Routes of Minsk residents,’ with a map of all the buildings in Minsk. If you click on any of the buildings, you will receive its historical information on the screen. There is another game called ‘Gather the Crew’ wherein you will have to reach a destination using the means of transport provided in the game.
