Osteria Francescana, Modena Reviews - Write a Review
My visit was five years ago. But this remains an experience by which I judge all other meals. Someday we will return for another recalibration of our expectations. Expensive: you surely don't really need to ask? Playful from start to finish, there is an inspired trinity here. The tasting menu with matched wines was unforgettable, and the service and ambience was ideal for us. Sacrilegious, entertaining, perfectly judged. It seems hardly necessary to add that it was all delicious of course. Perfection in the back streets of Modena.
Simply one of the best meals I've ever had. The parmesan dish is ridiculously tasty. If you can get a table; you won't be disappointed.
It is just what you would expect from one of the best restaurants in the world. The service is great the food is outstanding and the wine pairing is brilliant. Yes it's pricey but it's worth it!
It's totally worth it, but when I visited they were the number 1 restaurant in the world. Service is attemptive, food in general good, the bread is one of the best I had, but in my opinion something was missing from other restaurants of the same caliber. When you travel to a destination restaurant it has to be worth it, in this case, there was missing something for the experience to be memorable.
Was extremely excited to dine at Massimo's and it did not disappoint. We decided on the famous 'everything' taster menu, which includes the five ages and textures of Parmigianino, Oops! I dropped the lemon tart, and the camouflage pigeon. The depth and pairing of flavours was educational and more importantly fun. We even got to talk to massimo about his beautiful art collection.
