Interesting to see some of the caves and to ponder what it was like to carve out those rooms and live in them. The descriptions on the signs were somewhat informative, the trails were in poorly maintained condition getting overrun by weeds and the area you are able to visit is pretty small compared to the length of the valley. If it were along the way i'd probably stop but certainly wouldn't go out of my way to visit.
History of Greece in Sicily. Choose a cooler day because there are no shadows
The mill museum was better than the caverns
A nice archeological site that is to be seen on an easy walk around. Information can be gathered at entrance station by self guide phones. That site also is an medival tomb yard as well as in use to live for people until the 1930s. Do not forget to visit the near by Mulino ad Aqua. Very interessting site too.
