Palatul Mogosoaia, or the Mogosoaia Palace, is a late 17th century palace that was built by Constantin Brancoveanu. Boasting a Romanian Renaissance style or Brancovenesc style, this palace is located at a distance of 10 kilometres from Bucharest. This palace has a rather twisted history associated with it. In 1714, 12 years after the palace was completed, Constantin Brancoveanu was executed with his entire family and all the family possessions and the palace were confiscated by the Ottomans. This palace was then converted into an inn and has since then changed many hands before being finally converted into a museum.
