The Mausoleum of Habib Bourguiba is a prominent landmark in Tunisia which is visited by hundreds of tourists daily. It is the resting place of Habib Bourguiba- the former President and Father of Tunisian independence; and his family. It was built in 1963 when Habib was still alive and is an example of classic Arab architecture with a big dome and two minarets on each side. There is a museum inside the Mausoleum of Habib Bourguiba that houses his personal belongings. Entrance to this place is free on the first Sunday of each month.
