Magnetic Hill Zoo is one of the top ten zoos in Canada. Spread over sixteen acres, this zoo is home to more than four-hundred animals and birds. Around hundred of these are mostly exotic and aboriginal species. The zoo that attracts thousands of locals and tourists annually, was originally opened as a simple game farm in 1953. It was started to take care of injured animals. It was developed as the zoo after the 1980s. Today, you can see Siberian tiger, jaguar, black bear, arctic wolf, African lion along with the different species of deer as well as other birds. All the animals are well taken care of. If you think a zoo is a place only for kids, you will change your opinion after visiting Magnetic Hill Zoo.

Magnetic Hill Zoo Reviews & Ratings
Pretty nice zoo. Quite small, maybe an hour or two to do the full tour, but pretty enjoyable. I think I prefer this to bigger zoos that needs you to walk around for a full day. Animals are often pretty close and if you get there at the good time you can see a trainer or two interact with some of them. You can feed a couple ducks & birds if you have a dollar to spare, there's a corn distributor somewhere. Prices were pretty fair and the presence of a small food shack with seating in the shade was really appreciated.
Brought my 3 kids ages 4, 7, 10 and we all had a great time. Even on a hot day we got to see almost all the animals exploring their habitats. Loved the way the Zoo was set up which made it easy to see everything. Even on our way out we had fun each picking an item from the cool giftshop items. Also lots of other things to do and see nearby.
A great place to spend the day. The exhibits are beautiful, animals of every type keep young and old amused. The play park is great for the little ones to burn off steam in safety. Then take in the Magnetic Hill and finally the boardwalk. Fun for all ages.
The overall experience was good. However I found that the hours were short as they only close at 6pm so that could be hard for some people go as they probably have work and other obligations during the day. Also I did find it quite expensive for what it was. It costs 30$ for my girlfriend and I to go and we were for about an hour and a half. I will say though, most of the enclosures and exhibits were very well done.
Zoo has ample parking and admission price makes this a good value for families. The zoo is well layed out and easy to navigate. Some of the enclosures are showing their age are overall well kept and maintained. The grounds and common areas are clean and tidy. There was a good variety of animals to see and also a large playground for kids. Our family enjoyed our visit and will definitely return.
