Monopoli Cathedral, which is also known as the Basilica of the Madonna della Madia or Santa Maria della Madia, is a Roman Catholic Cathedral located in the town of Monopoli, Italy. The construction of this church began in 1107 making it one of the oldest churches in the country. The church features a Romanesque architecture, which was only completed in the mid-fifteenth century. The church originally had three bell-towers, all of which were destroyed in wars, and a new campanile in its place was built in the year 1693. The church has a majestic architecture both from the outside and the inside.
