Hotel Scotchies, Montego Bay Reviews
Really delicious authentic Jamaican. We asked our driver to take us to where the locals eat. We enjoyed really tasty jerk chicken and jerk pork. The veggies and peas & rice were good too! My favorite item was festival it was like cornbread and dough rolled into one. Never had that before but was a wonderful surprise. We will definitely return when we go back to Jamaica.
There was nothing ready last time I went there... they need to get proper management. Shouldn't be running out of food on the weekend
It was okay. People kind of made it out to be amazing, but it wasn't. If you have plenty of time in Montego Bay and want to try authentic food, pass on by, but I wouldn't go out of your way if you're pressed for time.
The place was pretty neat with an authentic atmosphere. The window attendant was quite courteous while trying to help me navigate the menu. The jerk chicken was good but the rice and peas was a let down. My wife exclaimed that the beef patty was good. She's very particular about her food so I will cosign for her. The only reason it's not 5 stars because they couldn't wait for me to tip. The cook pulled me to the side as I was getting my order and said tip my guys. Which I was going to tip anyway but due to that the tip wasn't as big as it could've been. So besides the temporary strong arm it was a decent place to grab a quick bite while traveling.
Jerk pork is just awesome! Pair that with some festival and roast sweet potatoes and I promise ur in heaven. The jerk sausage is pretty good too so is the chicken
