One of the least known yet full of natural beauty, the Deckertown Falls consist of a series of cascading streams that originate from the Caitlin Mill Creek jutting through the hill slopes. The gushing gorge cascades down from the limestone and shale cliffs standing precariously over the deep pools with turbulent current. From the parking lot, you will be able to see three streams falling from 30 feet height into the shallow pool and moving forward, you can see them drop into a small but wide cascade that juts out with a chute to the deep pool. On the right of the Deckertown Falls, if you head through the muddy trail, more falls can be seen. Hiking from the parking lot to the first base is easy, but the next levels are very difficult. They, however, offer some magnificent photography opportunities.

i wouldn't call this a hike. it's more of a walk (only 3 tenths of a mile to the top or less) and i would be a great way to introduce children to hiking, waterfalls and the love of being out doors. you see a sign on the roadside just before the turn. making this very easy to find the small parking lot. the kids will be able to get in the stream at the beginning but makes sure you watch them as you go up.how can you go wrong. 3 falls one easy trail.
The falls and gorge are nice. There should be some guardrails for safety and path maintenance is needed. Without that it is a very risky short trek.
