Boulangerie Mr Pinchot Inc., Montreal Reviews
Delicious, fresh, and moist coffee eclair. Will melt in your mouth. If you choose to sit on the near by benches, the birds will keep you company :)
The walnut bread is pretty unique. I also love their rillettes and croissant sandwich and their veggie pate. Not too crazy about the croissants themselves, but overall everything is good quality here.
This is an amazing establishment and is the location of "that" bakery for the movie of anyone's life. Flowers out front...you can see their fare from the bog window painted with their name. They even serve a nice espresso . The area in the plateau is perfect. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is because some of their more daintier baked goods have the taste of freon. I though it was because they freeze them but I don't think that is the case. I think there cooler and/or air conditioning needs to be repaired as it may be leaking freon into the air.
We had a wonderful sandwich made fresh on the spot using their amazing bread (we added a croissant which a local told us was the best in town). They were also very patient with my rudimentary French. We ate our delights in nearby Parc La Fontaine which was full of people but not overcrowded. Beautiful day.
When one thinks of a French bakery, this is it. It may be the best bakery that I have ever been to. Once we tried the croissants and danishes, we had to go back every day of our visit in Montreal.
