Divan Orange, Montreal Reviews
More of a bar/club. Even though there are tables to sit down, it is impossible to have a group conversation unless you are all shouting! Small cover charge. We went on a Saturday night and they were playing really good disco/funk/soul music! 👌
Une institution à Montréal 💖 Dommage qu'il va fermé ce mois-ci (18 Fev. 2018) 😢 This is one of YUL's references in culture 💖 Too sad it is closing doors soon this month on Feb. 18th 2018 😢
Small venue with the wildest, most creative artist. If you want some loud fun with cheap beer, it's the place to go.
Had a really fun New Years Party here. Small dance bar with a small stage.
Nice and cozy place, good indie and alternative live bands. The music is good but the sound is way too loud and even harmful sometimes. My left ear still hurts from today's sound check and I wasn't able to stay for more than a few minutes when the show started for real. I was trying to ask people to step aside so I could get to the washroom, and I couldn't even hear my own voice. Most of the audience must be deaf I guess. But still, I saw a few people leaving the place while protecting their ears, just like me. Divan Orange had many noise related complaints in the past. In my opinion, the problem isn't caused only by the acoustic of the place, but also by the incompetence of the soundman.
