Montreal City Hall is a five storey building which is now used as the office of local government. The construction process was started in 1872 and finished in 1878 and was done by architects Alexander Cowper Hutchison and Henri-Maurice Perrault. The main aim of this construction is to use it as a house for municipal administration. In 1984, it was registered in the list of National Historic Site of Canada. As it is a historical building, you can find glimpses of histories inside the building. After destruction in 1922, Montreal City Hall was remodelled and hence you can find some new decorations such as the copper roof and the Mansard roof with a looks of Beaux-Arts style.
