Mystery Room Montreal, Montreal Reviews
We booked for 4 person, they got wrong and made us do another scenario than the one we booked while other people did ours. Some props didn't work so we lost time (and no time added), so we were disappointed cause we had to go in and out of the rooms to continue adventure while having good answers.... The props and decor were old and in a bad state, the rooms are not that clean, many people seem to have mistreated it before and they didn't made it look better. Only good thing is the puzzles that are well done. Also the person that welcomed us was nice and kind of annoyed because of all the bad things. They also hae a good service if you need to change your reservation before coming.
I tried the Pharaoh's Treasure with a few friends, but the experience was not very good. The props look cheap and there is no "immersion" in the story. Some puzzles were interesting, but a few were badly designed (hard to explain why without spoiling the game). In the end, we opened the door by mistake, that is, we didn't follow all the clues but still finished the game by luck(?) - which seemed to me as a badly designed puzzle. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.
Friendly staff, nice place, but no soundproof. First time experience with 3 of my fellows. We all enjoy our glory adventure with the Repaire de Satan / Satan's Lair. Every minute in this small room, I had fun thanks to our great team work.
Wow, It was very fun ! We did repaire de satan and it great for begginers! Love it !
Came with friends using a Groupon. We had fun and the staff were friendly. There are games in the waiting area and lockers for your things. There are games with different difficulty levels. Our scenario was fun but it felt a bit decontextualized - it might have felt more immersive if there were a bit more back story. We had a group of 5 and sometimes felt there there wasn't enough for us all to do - the puzzles were clever and made good use of props bit I think we were hoping for more puzzles so we could divide and conquer.
