  • Good food, fun gimmick, and great staff. Cool for the restaurant to have work opportunities specifically for visually impaired servers. Highly recommend doing this once for the experience... but unfortunately once people enter the pitch-black darkness their volume goes up about 20x. Midway through my date we couldn't even hear each other because of the yelling (not exaggerating). The darkness is a fun concept and has great execution. I have never been in darkness as constant and overwhelming as this. This is not a dimly lit restaurant, this is the TOTAL absence of light -- I was very impressed. OVERALL: Your experience is so dependent on the people sharing the restaurant with you (yelling, dropping things, and if they use a cellphone/light-up watch it'll really ruin the darkness) -- that you're rolling the dice when you visit. Decent price for a fun gimmick and good food. But people are savages, and there's no effort by the restaurant -- beyond kind requests -- to "moderate" the experience.

  • This was my first time trying dark dinning and I’m so glad my first experience was at O Noir! Our waiter Sammy was so sweet, patient, professional and friendly. Front staff was also great at explaining the menu. Food was fantastic! I highly recommend choosing the surprise as it definitely heightens your senses seeing as you have absolutely no idea what to expect. I was able to guess spices and herbs I would have normally ignored. And guessing each bite made the experience that much more unique.

  • Definitely recommend it! We were a group of 4 people and 3 of us ordered a surprise entree and main dish. -Food: was very delicious and flavorful. The portion was pretty decent. There was a lot of meat in the surprise dish. -Desserts: was pretty good but nothing out of this world. -Drinks: the surprise drink was not really good. We agreed it tasted like cough syrup. The other drinks were alright. -Service: Sophia was our waitress and she was fantastic. Very nice and came to check on us at an appropriate frequency. -Ambiance: I personally felt claustrophobic at the beginning, it did take several minutes to get used to it. We arrived there at 6pm and there weren't many people which was great bc it wasn't as loud. Also, less chances of idiots taking out their phone and ruining the experience for others (luckily for us, it was towards the end of our dinner). -Experience: eating in the dark was very fun! Some of us tried to eat "normally", some used our hands some times or a mix of both. It was fun discussing what we thought was in the surprise entree and main dish. We also had fun passing our drinks and dessert around to try them out. You really can't see anything unless you have really good night vision, you might see some shapes up close. Overall, we all had a great time and definitely recommend trying it once! Yes it's "pricey" but don't forget you are also paying for the experience since there aren't a ton of these types of restaurant.

  • This is an amazing experience!! Not only that but the staff is amazing and super nice. The food is amazing. I don't think you could get something you don't like there. Just over all great.

  • The service is excellent. The experience is unique. The only thing is the price of the dishes for the small portions. The food was good but doesn't work the price. But I am willing to pay this price for the excellent service and the amazing experience knowing I'm contributing to help raise jobs for the legally blind.
