Place Des Arts - Review
Art patrons gather here in large, culture seeking droves. Established to promote culture by Mayor Jean Drapeau, the Place des Arts is abundant in theatres showcasing musical shows, orchestra, ambiance music, dance performances, choral music, film presentation and drama and more. Away from the stage, the Musee d’art here is has a fantastic collection of comtemporary arts and crafts. The rest of the area is peppered with rehearsal studios, administrative buildings, shops, and a substantial, ubiquitous esplanade.

Place Des Arts, Montreal Reviews
A very happening place packed with activities when I visited Montreal in August. The place was pretty crowded maybe because of the huge number of restaurants and bars lined up here. I hugely enjoyed watching the fashion shows that were being held for almost a week. Since it's in downtown Montreal it's very close to good Mal's and a couple of metro stations.
This is a very vibrant part of Montreal. During the day you can find people playing a life size chess game. It is also a great place for people watching. There are restaurants and coffee shops near by for you to enjoy a quick bite. There is also free WiFi that you can connect to. I like this part of the city and the art museum is near by.
It is a huge, multi venue complex in Montreal. We were fortunate to visit the place on the last day of the international Jazz festival. Many stage shows were organized very well. Enjoyed varieties of music like Rock, Pop, African...and of course Jazz.
Amazing place for festivals, events, hanging out or taking your kids to play. Summers are jam packed with amazing events. Tons of great places to take photos. Home of Jazz Fest, Francofolie, Just for Laughs festival and so much more! A great part of Montreal! Sprinklers and splash pads are a definite plus if you have kids!
The 39th year of Montreal Jazz festival here at this plaza. Very hot weather so the many fountains of shooting water and areas for water play were so appreciated. At night the plaza lights up with grand colors on buildings, signs and more. Art is everywhere around you. Many, many places for concerts, dance, cinema and art. Shopping is convenient in the mall and on the street. So many fun and interactive activities for children too!
