Jacques Cartier Bridge is a steel padded cantilever bridge which crosses over the Saint Lawrence River from Montreal Island, Quebec to south shore of Longueuil, Quebec. Before renaming it in 1934, the bridge was known as Harbour Bridge. The construction was done on the concept of the design of Quebec Bridge. Earlier, it was a three-lanes bridge, but, later two lanes were added to it. Many other remodelling was also done to the bridge year after year such as tramway tracks, barrier for prevention of suicide and finials. The most interesting specialty of the Jacques Cartier Bridge is the Living Connections in which various coloured LED Lighting networks are installed in the bridge which will change seasonally.
