Situated in the state of Connecticut, the Machimoodus State Park is a public recreation park located close to East Haddam. This park is sandwiched between the Sunrise State Park towards the north and by the Salmon River and Salmon Cove to the south. Machimoodus State Park Reviews & Ratings
Beautiful! Dog friendly! Keep it pristine please! This is truly a sanctuary , with ponds trails and wildflowers , birds of all kinds ! Please let's all try to move the dog gifts at least to trailside ...woof!
Nice hiking trails though not very well marked though. We did see some wildlife and the views were very nice. We enjoyed a nice day hiking with grandsons looking for geocaches.
Beautiful park lots trails all well marked beautiful pond so tranquil and serene even my grandkids loved it
Great place to walk your dog.
Always a great place to walk. Great with a stroller. Sunrise area is paved and the main trail is packed down enough to walk with the stroller. Careful with the dogs that are off leash. Dogs are supposed to be on leash, but I have very often run into people with poorly behaving dogs off leash.
