Ortona Locks North Day Use Boat Ramp Reviews & Ratings
Very nice boat ramp on a great river!
Very clean, scenic and well kept, as are most CoE facilities, with level concrete pads and manicured lawns. This one is at the locks near LaBelle, Fl, about 1 mile off the highway. This quiet location is best suited for adults seeking a place to relax. The lock and dam are interesting to watch, as are the boats passing through. There is also a fishing dock. I have stayed here several times in the last 5 years. Take a lawn chair, a good book and enjoy!
Off the beaten path Lock. There is a covered picnic area with a couple of nice grills.
Boat launch, picnic tables, a couple of shelters overlooking the river and lock.
Stayed 2 weeks. Could have stayed 2 months if they would let us. Watching the locks was interesting, but the otter families were so much fun to watch! Fishing is good here. Wide campsites and really clean bathrooms and laundry.
