All Russia Exhibition Centre, Moscow Reviews
What an amazing place! Massive pavilions, entry arches and fountains. Free entry, big free parking (we came on Monday and it was free, not sure about other days). Landscaped alleys, roses everywhere. Just loved the place. Rocket that took astronaut Gagarin to space is right next to Cosmos museum, along with military planes and helicopters. Just loved this park! Must visit if you are in Moscow, you won’t regret.
It’s such a beautiful park. It has a building of every Soviet Union country and the statue of a woman in traditional clothes of the represented country. So much diversity and uniqueness. Has a feeling of nostalgia for so many nationalities being united as one if not considering all the politics of that time. It’s a perfect place to go for a walk with your family, there are many stands with ice cream and corn on a stick. You can also go to the aquarium nearby.
Liked overall, enjoyed myself. Some of the pavilions were closed (actually quite a few) but the ones that were opened did a lot of business. Bought some wonderful food items at Armenian pavilion, also some wonderful skin oils from black current and pomegranate. In Belarusian pavilion some beautiful linen towels. Food offerings were less impressive: ponchiki were not as good as on my local market and more expensive. Greek food was good but ordering and receiving was all bizarre. We got one item from the order and then waited another two another 20 min and soup another 3 min. But taste was fine.
Two amazing fountains, one with golden ladies other with flower. Chairs around fountains so You can admire them and have somw rest.Lenin statue. Two planes, Rocket on launching ramp and Helicopter ... U can take pictures or even stand next to them. Very large area. Many things to see and great place to take some photos. All in all very worth place to visit.
Getting better. It's not back to Soviet glory yet but it's nice to see the pavilions generally being restored and used again. A few more years and with a little luck it will all be restored. Kosmos pavilion was a bit of a let down, but it was good to see inside again for the first time in 28 years.
