Diamond Fund, Moscow Reviews
Must do while visiting the Kremlin - fantastic collection of diamonds, historic jewels, crowns and ornaments. Also, has some huge pieces of gold and platinum nuggets. Also, instead of waiting for Armoury tickets outside, you can buy the tickets at the shops and counter below diamond fund - much faster and less crowded.
Absolutely stunning, I was totally blown away by the collection. It's really well laid out - it starts with rough, uncut diamonds; to cut diamonds of various sizes; then moving on to Russian imperial jewellery; and finally more modern Russian jewellery. It's a small display, should take about 45mins to complete, but very highly recommended and definitely one of the highlights of Moscow. Would have loved to have taken photos, but it's strictly not allowed. There's a lot of confusion around the tickets, but here's a breakdown. You will need a general entrance ticket to the Kremlin complex (the ticket to the Cathedral Square), and you can then buy the ticket to the Diamond Fund either at the main entrance to the Kremlin (ie. before you enter the complex) or even at the entrance to the Diamond Fund building. Entrance to the Diamond Fund is only at certain hours and there is a max number of visitors allowed - and ticket sales are staggered throughout the day.
Amazing jewelry pieces including beautiful crown of Catherine the Great. Must see for everyone visiting Moscow
A great collection of diamonds, brilliants, golden and platinum nuggets, royal jewellery. A visit normally takes around 25-40 minutes. They offer you an audio guide free of charge, but to get it you with either leave your passport, drivers license or some 2000 rubies as safety deposit.
Very good collection don't forget to get the audio tour
