Helgafell ("holy mountain") is a small mountain on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula of Iceland. The mountain is 73 metres (240 ft) high, and a temple in honor of Þór was built there by the first settler of the area, Þórólfr Mostrarskegg. Helgafell also appears in the Laxdæla saga as the location where the heroine Guðrún Ósvífrsdóttir last lived and is supposedly where she is buried. fr:Helgafellnl:HelgafellWikipedia

A perfect detour for those interested in myth and folklore. There's a lot of magic here. Be sure to read the sign with the instructions for the three wishes before hiking up!
Short hike up a small mountain that gives you a good view of the area. Nothing truly special but I definitely enjoyed it
Small mountain, with a nice view on top.
