Flaunting exceptional views of the sparkling Columbia River bordered elegantly by trees, Mayer State Park is perfect for an escape from the hustling city life. The park was first only 260 acres large, an estate that was gifted by Mark A. Mayer. Over the years, the property expanded, and as of today, it sprawls across an incredible 620 acres! The park is usually divided into two sections, the lower section and the upper. While the main feature of the lower section is the river, the upper portion boasts of the Rowena Crest. Swimming, boat access, fishing and beaching can be enjoyed at the riverside, while the Rowena Crest offers incredible views of the river and the surrounding area, the perfect place for photographers!

Mayer State Park Reviews & Ratings
5 stars for the view. No amenities here but awesome view. Can often be windy so dress accordingly if you plan to walk around a bit.
You have to look far and wide to find a place that will be more beautiful than this view of the Columbia River. This area fits the criteria beautifully.
Very nice and right on the river. Has a good boat ramp and several parking spaces. Pit toilets were clean, but a little stinky in the hot summer sun.
What a beautiful place. Whether you come to fish swim, boat, picnic, or just hang out, you will find this place most enjoyable. I saw bald eagles and osprey catching fish and fisherman doing the same
Love love love this place. Has a viewpoint of the famous rowena road, also of the Columbia River gorge. Definitely a must. Also has a hiking trail which goes all they way to the top. Loved seeing all the beautiful wildflowers, then getting to the top and seeing the amazing views. Definitely need to go here don't even think twice 😉❤️
