Eight Bells Mountain Inn, Mossel Bay Reviews

  • We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed our stay immensely! Very tranquil, staff is very kind and strives to make your stay a wonderful experience. 5 stars at 4 star rates. Gardens are beautiful and you can enjoy walks on the trails in the valley. The restaurant serves excellent dishes and breakfast had something for every taste. Loved it, will return the next time I'm in the area.

  • It is beautiful. The food is excellent and the staff are very helpful and friendly. There is so much to do, you don't want to leave the place for a minute. I will go back there as often as I can

  • No scones which is what they r allegedly famous for and also no coffee. How did u get ur 4 star rating? Other than that beautiful location and good food.

  • Definitely no 4 star hotel. We had two room (standard rooms) with no shower, only a bathtub. Water is dropping, not flowing. Bathroom unrefurbished but clean. Room unrefurbished but clean. The hotel is directly located at the main street, so in our rooms it felt like sleeping in a tent at the autobahn. If you consider how hot water is produced (see photos), you understand why only cold water is considered as drinkable. Ways to the huts are outdated and require renewal. Food (Breakfast and dinner are very good. The outer location is nice. Unfortunately we had to stay two nights. Never again. Reception apologized for the rooms and explained they are in a process of renewing rooms...

  • You just can't get enough of this place... home away from home. Truly a very nice place to visit often. The staff is amazing and the service is world class.
