Situated on the bank of Neretva River, the clock tower is a very old structure that dates back to the Ottoman period and is now considered as a national monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is located in the heart of the city and is easily accessible for tourists. A traveler visiting the place can see the Turkish influence in its architecture though like many other prominent buildings in the city, the tower too has suffered some serious damage because of Balkan wars.
