Anyone, who is deeply interested in Bosnian history would definitely understand the significance of this bridge. Known as country's most iconic landmark, Stari Most has been brought to existence by great Ottoman king Suleiman The Magnificent in 15-16th century and is considered to be the finest example of Balkan Islamic Architecture. Situated on the bank of Neretva River, the bridge is now the most visited attraction among tourists. Travelers visiting the place can immerse themselves in beautiful scenic view, enjoy a cup of latte in the quaint peaceful beautiful cafes nearby or test out their inner daredevil by diving in the river. The place is a must visit for historians and travelers who wish to have a taste of Ottoman culture.

  • Stunning! The view from down the river is amazing! Be aware that the bridge is slippery and pickpockets are possible in the bridge. Do not hesitate to go under the bridge and enjoy the time there.

  • The famous Mostar bridge! Unfortunately we were not lucky enough to see anyone take the plunge. The place is full of tourists often with big crowds during the day so worth heeding others advice and seeing this place at night. Lots of little shops and lovely cafes and restaurants scattered around the bridge so you can easily spend a couple of hours. Who knows, by then you may be brave enough to jump!

  • This bridge is a beautiful sight to see from all angles. Be careful of the 'jumpers' who collect money for you to watch them jump off the bridge. There are excellent ice cream shops and restaurants in the nearby area too.

  • The iconic Old Bridge had been destroyed by the Croatians during the 1990s war. It has been rebuilt by the Bosnians. Now it once again is the center of tourist activities of Mostar. Every day bus loads of tourists descend on Mostar and every tourist walks the cobblestone street and cross the bridge. As such the bridge is always crowded. It is also where pick pockets are active. Don't get me wrong. The bridge is beautiful and is well worth a visit. The river below has a beautiful color. The best view of the bridge is from the minaret of the big mosque. For a fee you can climb up and get an unforgettable view of the bridge and Mostar.

  • Beautiful place, great stalls in the markets both side of the bridge. Plenty of restaurants and cafes along the way. The views from the bridge are gorgeous. Take a dip in the river below as there are loads of places to get access down to the river. Really lovely and interesting place.
