Reminiscence of medieval period, Achalgarh fort is one of the most popular attractions in Mount Abu. Located about 10 kilometers from the hill station, the fort also offers some stunning panoramic views of the Aravali range. Originally built by the Paramara Dynasty in 1452, the strong wall of the fort has stood the test of time. There are many beautiful Jain temples with the fort. The most prominent being the Shantinath Jain Temple. An architectural masterpiece in itself, visiting Achalgarh fort during your trip to Mount Abu can surely take you back in time.
Its a beautiful mandir not a fort. Its just the ruins of a fort which was build centuries ago. Although achalgarh has a jain temply which is beyond beautiful
It's situated on a height , with 3 temples One is Jain temple Kali ma ka guffa and Devi temple The road to the place is hilly and cars can't go in so you have to stop to a point and give 100 MTRs walk
I love this journey to mount Abu and achal garh fort
There is nothing much left like a Fort. However jain temples having statues made up of "Panch Dhatu" are worth visiting. Don't miss Achaleshwar Mahadew temple - God statues made up of "Sphatic"
