Mt. Baldy Ski Lifts Reviews & Ratings
This was my first time here. I don't ski but I took ny daughter there for some fun tubing and it was worth the entry ticket. We had a lot of fun! And the view from the restaurant's patio is breathtaking.
Mount baldy in the Winter is such a beautiful place to visit and to go skiing and hiking. I tried to get up there once every couple of years just to go and play in the snow and to look around and just take in the sights. I have attached a few photos that show how it looks during the Winter.
Skied on 3/22/19. Sunny low angle chair four had good corn snow on runs and fair snow surface off piste. Snow was thin, probably wont last a week. Chair 3 had good coverage an some excellent steep groomed runs. Off piste on chair 3 was a little icy and inconsistent, corn not well developed due to northern exposure. Chair 3 had very good coverage which should provide good intermediate and advanced skiing for weeks if we don't get too much rain up there. This was my first time here and I was very impressed with the terrain. Old growth trees are very widely spaced everywhere which is a huge plus. Gravelly soil and low bushes do not require much snow to cover. Chair 3 terrain has a sweet pitch.
Clueless. I phoned these people to very specifically confirm that the restaurant would be open at 8am for breakfast the day before my planned hike from the trailhead to the notch. "Yes. The restaurant will be open at 8am serving breakfast" was the reply. For the second year in a row, I hiked to the Notch Restaurant only to arrive there and find it locked. This year, at least the lift operator sold us day-old "box lunch" turkey sandwiches. I live and hike primarily in the SB mountains, but thought it would be nice to do a morning hike up and have breakfast. NOPE. We wouldn't have driven for over an hour to do this hike had we been told the truth.
The twilight hike, dinner and music are a special experience. If you enjoy awesome views it is a must!
