Mt. Baldy Wilderness Preserve is at the junction point between Cucamonga wilderness, San Dimas experimental forest and sheep mountain wilderness. This site is filled with diverse landscape features like a riparian corridor, chaparral and pine forest along with open meadows and wildflower valleys filled with Iris, Lupin, Columbine, and Indian Paintbrush. Here you will be amazed to see the Nelson bighorn sheep, coyotes, mountain lions, and bears. Before the advent of snowfall, you will find deer and elks. A number of hiking trails are offered here that include sunset ridge trail, Sheep Mountain, and Cucamonga wilderness trail. You can experience a modest hike along the dirt road that offers the sight of native cacti. The saddle point at Mt. Baldy Wilderness Preserve gives a broad view of the entire area.
