Mount Airy Museum Of Regional History Reviews & Ratings
We attended the museum yesterday and were very pleased with it's content and the way it was presented. The display of the granite quarry was particularly interesting as was the display of the Siamese Twins, Eng and Chang and the photographic display on the third floor.. It was very nicely laid out and the cost was very reasonable. We spent almost two hours there.
Really enjoyed the history of the county and the locals,as well.Probably not for the very young,as there was not alot for them. But quite a few interesting displays. For the admission price,a good deal.
Interesting collection of local history. The kids loved the hands on area. We were all impressed and entertained with the history of the fire trucks display.
I love this museum. The wealth of knowledge here is very impressive. I was not aware of the depth of history in this area. it was very neat to see the antique fire trucks, the antique cars, and go to the top of the tower to get a panoramic view of the city. Volunteers at the front were extremely helpful and made me feel very welcome. I am planning on volunteering there because of my experience.
I enjoyed the hands on exhibits that were at the Mount Airy Museum of Regional History. It gave a realistic approach. Also, I enjoyed that there were four floors to this museum. My only regret was my choice of shoes I wore. I should have a comfortable pair instead. Overall, my experience was a great and I plan to visit again with my grandchildren. I believe this is a place suitable for every age.
