Situated in the western part of Mumbai and linking Bandra with Worli, the Bandra-Worli Sea Link is a recent addition to the city.  It has eight lanes and the bridge is constructed in the open sea with the help of the cables. The circular pillars are made with concrete cement while the heavy cable wires are attached to each holding the bridge on the sea. Created to reduce travelling times the place is also a thing of great beauty.

It is an engineering marvel that proves that Indian construction can compete with the global counterparts. More than ninety thousand vehicles pass the bridge daily. As the number of private cars increases in Mumbai roads, the bridge proves to be an effective one. However, many political problems appeared during the making of the marvel, but fortunately it succeeded at last. The possibilities of Industrialization increase after this kind of construction. However, the Govt ensured no infrastructural delay during its construction.
