Situated in the western part of Mumbai and linking Bandra with Worli, the Bandra-Worli Sea Link is a recent addition to the city.  It has eight lanes and the bridge is constructed in the open sea with the help of the cables. The circular pillars are made with concrete cement while the heavy cable wires are attached to each holding the bridge on the sea. Created to reduce travelling times the place is also a thing of great beauty.

It is an engineering marvel that proves that Indian construction can compete with the global counterparts. More than ninety thousand vehicles pass the bridge daily. As the number of private cars increases in Mumbai roads, the bridge proves to be an effective one. However, many political problems appeared during the making of the marvel, but fortunately it succeeded at last. The possibilities of Industrialization increase after this kind of construction. However, the Govt ensured no infrastructural delay during its construction.

  • There is a toll required to be paid for travelling on the bridge.
  • The toll prices depend on the vehicle and may change. An estimated cost has been given.

  • Take a train to Bandra. Take a cab from Worli.

  • Rajdhani's Rasovara
  • Kareems
  • Vicinia

  • Truly an engineering marvel the sea link has reduced the travelling time from Bandra and Worli considerably along with traffic issues. The sea link is one of the great examples of modern day advancement of engineering. Many people might feel the toll charged is on higher side but according to me for maintaining such a marvel it's necessary.

  • Bandra-Worli sea link is one of the world class marvels of engineering present in India. Drive through this flyover on your Mumbai visit is most recommended. Feel the sense of freedom, pride and beauty. You'll feel differently when you drive during night, rain or in day time.

  • This is a cable stayed bridge from Bandra to Worli. The bridge looks beautiful when you travel on it and from the fort area it is the ideal place to take pictures. You can find racing and high end cars on this bridge. Worli fort is the best place to take pictures of this fort.

  • This sea link, connecting West to South Mumbai is the first cable-stayed bridge in open seas in India. Considering the uneven sea bed it is supposed to be one of the challenging architecture in recent times. It's wonderful both in the Daylight as well as in Night. Pedestrians are not allowed. Has 8 lanes for vehicles only.

  • When I saw the Sea-link for the first time I was very impressed with this link over sea which connects one suburb with the main township. One thing is most important to me which I will mention and that is about its exclusive bourgeoisie behaviour. No proletariat is allowed to cross it, even having a two-wheeler. The trucks are also not allowed, the chariots or animal driven carts not at all Sir.... The toll Plaza mentions that how much money has been spent on it and how long it will take to compensate that or recover that investment. The rates are fixed and are enough to collect the costs very soon with very minimum exemptions to the VIPs. One thing more is important and that is it does not keep the passengers waiting for more than a few minutes.  The comfort it has provided to the comfortable people is beyond explanation. I wish many more to come up soon to give comforts to those who are not allowed to cross it. One of the political parties has objected to the collection of toll and that will affect adversely any such future investment. This is not advisable. One must pay for the services, and only then development can take place. I appreciate the planners of this sea-link. Very much quite and peaceful place.. overall a great place to hangout with family and friends
