Cafe Leopold - Review

Café Leopold is a representation of hope and survival in the city of Mumbai. Apart from being one of the oldest Irani restaurants this place is also one of the places that were attacked on the night of 26/11 in Mumbai. The owner has kept a lot of interior as it is and has restored a major part of it. Situated on Colaba causeway, this humble looking place has an amazing atmosphere. You should visit with friends to grab a beer or two and it is one of the best options to spend a lovely evening drinking and eating your night away!

Cafe Leopold, Mumbai Reviews

  • The Cafe which is my Love. This place gives me a positive vibes! Love visiting Leopold with my friends & Mates. Food is perfect and the cold tap is just perfect with the warm British touch. Though in India this place has a complete vibe for an London feel in it. You can’t think for a second for not visiting this place. It’s a dime!!

  • The oldest cafe since 1857. Best beer. Best chilly chicken. Best atmosphere. It's more of a afternoon drinking place only when it less crowded, otherwise the table next to you will know all your secrets because they are too close together.

  • Food is good not very great! But if you wanna have a quick bite they have good choices of sandwiches and other such varieties! The beer is served perfectly chilled! Good ambience! Gives you that retro Mumbai feel! The bullet shots from 26/11 are still kept as a memento for the visitors to see!

  • One of the happening places in Mumbai which I love going back to. There is absolutely no parking around this area. The service is quick, and the food is awesome. Children are allowed on the ground floor only. Upstairs is 18 and above. However wish they had more restrooms. There is only one which is a unisex one.

  • Simply loved the experience of being at the Leopold. The 'defiance' was written well large on the visitors and the Hotel Staff alike. The thin crust pizza was tasty and cold coffee was cool. They perhaps noticed our being new to the place and offered us a chocolate pastry complementary even after the billing. Some of the bullet marks are still visible inside. But the spirit of 'defiance' and good food and breverages was worth a celebration.
