  • Amazing place for south indian food. Some. Of the dishes are unique. Food is great and quantity is good at a reasonable price. The owners are personally involved hence the place has been able to keep up to its reputation. However limited space and if you do not reach in good time, it's likely you will have to return without enjoying some of the best South Indian dishes

  • Excellent south Indian restaurant with authentic southern spice taste. Complete south Indian restaurant with yummy taste And some excellent south Indian coffee. Established almost in the year of 1940 - 78th year running. 100% vegetarian hotel with lot of Jain food preparation options. No air-conditioned is there. It's a simple but comfortable sitting arrangements are made. Sitting is on sharing basis. Has ground + mezzanine floor sitting also. Most of the time there is waiting. As it opens people are in queue for entering specially on weekends And public holidays. They sale some snacks And sweets also have outside separate counter. Parking is a task. No valet. All south Indian food lovers should visit once. Timings are 7am to 2.30pm And 4pm to 10.30pm. Highly recommended 😊. Individual experiences may differ.

  • Once upon a time, this restaurant was well known for it's consistent food quality standards they were maintaining for years on end. But during our recent visit, we were shocked to find that this is no more the case. Apart from average food quality, even the service standards desire a lot of introspection from the owners who seem to have become complacent with their past laurels. It is time, they make amends on this front.

  • Cafe Madras is located at Matunga circle. It has been around for quite a long time now and has that old school charm. Even though the area has many eateries around, it still holds its own. The place is only known for 1 thing and 1 thing that should matter - Food. Authentic South Indian Food. No matter what time of the day you go there, you'll have to wait your turn. Such is the reputation of the place that people always come there for a bite or two. The food is absolutely sumptuous and worth every penny. The staff are thoroughly professional and courteous. If you are from the south and know the language, you can strike a chord with the staff who love to speak a word or two in their local dialect. The prices are very pocket friendly considering the quality of the food. You'll feel like coming back for more.

  • I just love the food here. Don't expect luxury. But you can expect divine South Indian delicacies and coffee. Its a pocket friendly place as well.
