Crawford Market - Review
Mahatma Jyotiba Phule market or what used to be known as Crawford Market, is one of the busiest places in South Bombay. Named after one of the most active social reformers of india, the market retains the old worldly charm of Mumbai in many ways. They say that to get the real flavour of a city, visit its bustling markets. If you believe in this adage, be sure to visit the MJP Market.
The wares sold here are of a huge variety. From vegetables and fresh produce to completely bizarre novelty items, you will be able to find a huge variety here. Candles, party decorations, and a wide variety of miscellaneous items can all be found in this area. The building that houses it is also one of the oldest British buildings in the city and hence worth seeing in itself. Besides, it is also located right next to Chattrapati Shivaji terminus making it an interesting place to take a look at on your trip to Mumbai.

May be the most popular market in Mumbai. You get chocolates, refreshments, dry fruits, fruits, cleaning items, drinks and what not.. If you are good at bargaining, you get the stuff at cheap rates. Very famous to buy chocolates in bulk quantity. Pets are also available here.
From cst station it's just 10min walakable distance ..A big place to get all daily household items like fruits, nuts, veggies at affordable great prices.. You can buy pets Also..Very crowded place. Also difficult to find parking space..you will find school bags and luggage bags on shops which are on main road ..
This place was amazing! One of the oldest markets, you will find everything you would ever need here. Make sure to haggle especially if you are a tourist. Many things you can buy wholesale and get very cheap. Avoid Sundays as most of the stores and stalls are closed.
Have been here many a time from childhood. The products are genuine but the pricing are different in different stores. You have to roam and find for the lowest price. Dry fruits and foreign chocolates are more sold here. A Must visit market if you visit Mumbai. Simply irresistable!
Now partially it is in to redevelopment and renovation. Here in the last lane vegetables are available. Rest if the three lanes we get dry fruits , imported chocolates, kirana stores, perfumes and deo etc ,. The shops on the main road are keeping school bags and luggage bags.etç . Be careful about the pickpocket. Under the name of ROYAL many shops are there and the owners are different. So be careful you are, not cheated. Fruits are very expensive and every imported fruits are also available.
