Gorai Beach - Review
One of the lesser known and yet very pretty beaches of Mumbai, this one is a must visit for anyone who likes to travel off the beaten track.
It is the perfect place to watch the sunset or to meet up with friends. The quintessential Mumbai street food is a must try here. In fact any Mumbai beach experience is incomplete without having a large portion of Bhel-puri. Interestingly, the place is also famous if you want to buy any fresh sea-food.
Tourists certainly swear by the tranquillity it provides but it is something to try out. If you want to explore Mumbai and are bored of the regular haunts try to find your stimulation in this place. Girgaun and Juhu are lovely places to be at but they tend to get really crowded. Gorai is a much lesser main stream beach and hence you will never find too much crowd here. Definitely add it to your itinerary while visiting Mumbai to have a real beach experience but Mumbai style!

Gorai Beach, Mumbai Reviews
Great place to go and chill out with friends and family. Reasonable food(veg and non veg) and drinks. You can carry your own food and drinks but you will be charged some amount on per head basis - Rs 100 on week days and Rs 200 on weekends - but it's worth it - try to negotiate with waiter and if required the management. Best time to go is after 2 pm when the heat starts to lessen and the sea breeze makes it enjoyable. There are individual shacks with tables and chairs and even two big sitting areas for larger groups. In event one goes by car please check high tide timings.
Just two hours drive from the city this beautiful sea beach comes as a relief to the ever busy souls of Mumbai. the lush green trees sprawling over along with the sun and sand is a perfect weekend destination for you and your family. A number of resorts and hotels are available and so are roadside eateries. Only information you have to gather before visiting is the tide... If there is high tide then you cannot enter the beach. So make sure you know the tide status before planning the trip.
A perfect place for family picnic spot at all time, we enjoyed a lot three like playing, bike riding and boating many things. But some time the water floating is more that you can't enjoy at that time, except that the place, atmosphere, rocks, and water float is awesome. Especially some kind of local foods are available at that place, really the taste is awesome and little expensive but you can purchase. Accommodation and restaurants are there to stay at nights. The road, is awesome with more greenery and trees, more you can see jack fruit trees all over the road. You can spend more time at this place, never gat bored. It's a perfect place for family and kids, simply a perfect place for picnic. Me and my sister's son enjoyed a lot here.
Nice place to visit. You can reach by car till beach itself. Nice experience but water cleanliness an issue as for other beaches of mumbai city.
Very nice place to chill and have fun. Do remember to stay till sunset to enjoy the grand view
