  • This is one place where you need to have much time to visit. However, you also need patience to walk around the udyan (park). Built by the British as a botanical garden with many rare plant species, this is a unique and lovely place to visit. Though, there is a lot of scope for improvement in terms of the zoo attractions and facilities, this place is wonderful. I have been visiting this place since my childhood (maybe since 30 years now). And it always is a fun. For parking space, there is an adjoining area in the zoo but you need to reach early to find a parking space. Entrance fee is also very low and a poor man can easily afford it. The current main attraction of the zoo is penguin. Some of the cages are in dilapidated condition and need renovation.

  • It's a nice Zoo located at Byculla adjacent to main road .. Zoo timings is from 9am to 5pm.. Wednesday s it will be closed.. Can reach this place by own vehicle for which there s paid parking facility available inside the zoo , can take a cab or by train . The nearest railway station is Byculla.. From station it's very near by.. Entry fee is there 50 rupees per head , free entry for kids and senior citizens who carry a age proof card.. you can get to see variety of plants/trees , small botanical garden is there , lot of animals and birds ,, penguins .. Also available are small food joints where you get icecreams and snacks.. there s also a museum which is okay to watch.. nice place for couples or families or for children to spend time for half a day.. Would definitely recommend to visit..

  • The park management is really taking efforts to make the experience better. The renovation project is in line and we can expect much more from this place in coming years. A great place for children though variety and number of animals have decreased in past few years. The new penguin section is the best attraction for all ages.

  • It's quite clean than it used to be earlier. The birds section has good collection but the animal and reptile section has very limited animals and reptiles. No tiger, lion, bear etc. You can spot deer, monkey, elephant, Hippo, crocodile and a python. The best attraction is Penguins. There are 7 penguins in a special area just created for them. The fees is Rs 50 per head. Free for senior citizen. Discount for family of four.

  • Not good place for all. Only for kids & rare animals available to see. Bad experience😢😢 Ticket cost is 100 Rupees for a family ( Husband, Wife & two child's). Rs.50 for a single person. You can't carry any luggage even water bottle inside the zoo. You can keep your luggage on luggage room which you have to pay Rs.100. If you have a Camera and you want to take it inside than you have to pay Rs.100 for that. If you are a photo grapher and you want to shoot photos than definitely you will love this place. Best place for photo shoot only.
